Playing with Knits and Purls

Something about Autumn and knitting, sitting inside were it's warm and watching the leaves fall of the trees and listening to someone read with the knitting needles lying in your hands. For this project I'm just using nice cotton yarn. I'm not following a pattern, just playing around with knit's and purls.

Basic Guidelines to Playing around with knits and purls

As you've probably guessed I'm making a scarf (or at least that's the plan, but you never know...)
I started by casting on 24 stitches. Making up your own patterns does require a little bit of math. I've done things like: Wright side; Knit 3, Purl 3, to the end of the row. You would do that 8 times because 8 x 3=24. Then, on the Wrong side you would Purl 3, Knit 3 to the end of the row. (Witch would be 8 times). But you couldn't do Knit 5, Purl 5, because 24 is not a multiple of 5, and you'd end up with one stitch left. You never know what you'll end up with and I have a feeling this scarf will turn out a little strange. Do you want to see this scarf when it's done? Be sure to comment and tell us what you think!

Thank you so much for visiting the craft bag! Be sure to come again! :)
